SmokingCrayolas' entry in the Video Association of Dallas' 6th Annual 24-Hour Video Race.
, with both Amy and Kirk out of town, team SmokingCrayolas wasn't "raring to go in full force" as previously hoped for
, an old friend and a little brother stepped up to the plate to help create what I think is one of SmokingCrayolas' finest films to date.
Oddly enough, we have nothing crazy to report about this year's race. The shoot and the edit went down smooth, seeing our film virtually complete before 8:00 pm (which we're attributing to the lack of dialogue). The most bizarre event I can report is the uprighting of an overturned tombstone while on location. Unless you want to hear the "Todd saw some dangly-bits" story...
We thought the list of requirements was good to us again this year, gelling well into our final product.
2007's list of requirements:
- Theme: Wrong Turn
- Prop: A musical instrument
- Location: A flag pole
- Dialogue: "You don't owe me anything."
We advanced to the finals with this one. A feat we haven't accomplished since The Strangarrr
! Ultimately, we ended up taking second place in our division.
